Rules:

The challenge will start April 25th and will end on June 6th. We will take body fat measurements and calculate lean body mass on April 25th at the zone/pale seminar/potluck/bbq. We will also take before pictures in swimsuit attire. Some of the workouts we are doing this week will also be repeated at the end of the 6 weeks. At this time we will take the after pics and get new body fat measurements. Pictures and measurements will be kept private. Participants must follow the zone diet, paleo diet, or both and log all of their meals. There will be a $10 sign up fee to participate in the challenge.

Everyone who works hard and sticks to their diet will be a winner. There will be drastic improvements in energy levels, strength, and overall health. The male and female athletes that show the most improvement in body composition and workout performance win the prize package. This will include a SinCity CrossFit T-shirt of your choice and the $200! (or more depending on how many people sign up) The sign up fee for participating goes directly to the prize  money. So the more friends you get to participate the more you can win!

The Paleo Diet:

The Paleo Diet is all about eating what our hunter-gatherer ancestors used to eat. It eliminates all processed and refined foods. Lean meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, and nuts are what our bodies are made to eat. Living off these high quality foods will make you lean, eliminate acne, improve athletic performance, and relieve many metabolic-related and autoimmune diseases.

The Zone Diet:

The Zone Diet is all about balancing your hormone levels to keep them in a specific range to maximize fitness and long-term health. It involves eating a precise diet of 30% protein, 30% fat, and 40% carbs at each meal. These macronutrients are broken down into blocks which are to be eaten in 5 or 6 meals spread evenly throughout the day. The number of blocks is based on lean body mass and activity levels. By using this precise method you will increase energy levels, feel better, burn fat, pack on muscle, and nudge every quantifiable health marker in the right direction.

Pale/Zone:

The Paleo Diet is all about quality food, while the Zone Diet is all about the exact quantity and timing of meals. There are favorable and unfavorable foods in the zone diet. Eating paleo foods in zone portions combines the two diets and will optimize health and performance. While this method provides the best results, it is also the most strict and difficult to follow.
