I’m very proud of our SinCity CrossFit Team for competing this weekend in Dallas at the South Regional! We started out the competition in 36th place and after 9 events we finished in 26th place out of the 40 best teams in the South Region. It was a very tough field consisting of teams from 8 different states and 6 different countries! Check out some of our workout pictures and videos here – pics and videos.
Coach Suzie stepped up big time competing at her first regional. There was a lot of pressure going and she handled it like a champ. Coach Jarett also did an amazing job all weekend. He was cool, calm, and collected on every workout. Him and suzie really killed it on the deadlift workout. Melissa also had a great performance. She made all the high skill movements like muscle ups, handstand walks and rope climbs look easy out there. Coach Kyle showed a lot of leadership each day and executed on every workout. He showed great technique and strength on the snatch ladder and would have finished it with a little more time. Last but not least, Sarah was amazing at her first regional competition. She was very fast on her handstand pushups, hit 14 out of 15 snatches, and showed a lot of heart to hang on at the end to complete those nasty legless rope climbs. And all 3 ladies showed great teamwork on event 4, finishing in 9th place with an amazing pace on those ghd situps.
Finally, I want to thank Sheena, Krista, Derrick, Shain, Reahana, Kaylee, Travis, and Chris for making the trip out to Dallas to cheer us on! It was so awesome to have such a great support group out there. And Thanks to all of you that were watching and following the competition online. Our box wouldn’t be what it is without our awesome community made up of all our amazing members. We are stoked that we got to represent all of you and SCCF on the big stage. It was a great time and can’t wait to get back and do even better next year!
