April 21, 2018 – Annual Shane Patton Pub Crawl!

In 2009, we created a Hero workout in honor of our friend Shane Patton. We will be completing the workout all day Friday April 21, the day before the pub crawl.  We invite anyone to come down and do the workout free of charge on Friday.  Even if you have never done CrossFit before you are welcome to come sweat it out in memory of Shane.  Then we hope you all join us on Saturday for the Pub Crawl!

-The Annual Shane Patton Scholarship Foundation Pub Crawl is this Saturday evening kicking off at 7pm at The Dillinger in Boulder City.

-The $30 entry fee includes the badass Patton t-shirt and drink deals at the coolest bars in BC, including live musical entertainment at The Dillinger, Forge Social House, and The Tap.

-Funds raised go directly to the Shane Patton Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization — they provide scholarships for graduating Boulder City High School seniors. Donations may be made at The Dillinger or sent to the “Shane Patton Scholarship Foundation”, c/o The Dillinger, 1224 Arizona St., Boulder City, NV 89005.

-Shane Patton was a Boulder City High School graduate, and Navy SEAL, and great friend to many of our members, who was killed during Operation Red Wing when his helicopter was shot down during a rescue mission. If you are familiar with the book or the movie “Lone Survivor” you will recall his role in that operation.

His friend, and long time SCCF athlete, Grant Turner along with his father Jeff, a 20 year Navy SEAL, established a foundation in his name to celebrate his life and achievements and commemorate his sacrifice. The Pub Crawl is the annual event that finances the scholarships provided to Boulder City High School Seniors. Each year several $1,000 scholarships are awarded to deserving students and citizens.
