We are excited to be hosting the Weightlifting CrossFit Specialty Course on february 9th & 10th!  Click the link above to register.  Here are some more detail about the course:

CrossFit Weightlifting 

Two days are spent detailing each lift (snatch on Day 1, clean and jerk on Day 2). The focus is on participants experiencing the basic positions and learning the foundational teaching points for instructing others to achieve them. The snatch and clean and jerk bring speed, power, coordination, agility, accuracy and balance to training and are indispensable to CrossFit programming and developing a well-rounded athlete.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The Weightlifting​ ​Course teaches participants:

  1. The proper stance, grip and positions for the snatch, clean and jerk.
  2. The Burgener warm-up, skill-transfer exercises and the rationale for each component.
  3. Common faults and corrections for each lift, with opportunities to coach other participants in the lifts.

Front squat (hands free, hands on barbell, pause front squats, one-and-a-quarter front squats, and in-the hole front squats)

None

CERTIFICATES

Sent electronically 1-2 weeks after course completion to the email address used for registration.

LANGUAGE

The default language for this course is English. Any course with a translator are specified in the “Language” section from the event registration link.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUS)

Upon successful completion of this course, a Certified CrossFit Trainermay claim 11 CEUs towards their continuing education.
